About Shalom COGIC
A City of Peace. A House of Refuge. A Kingdom Assignment. Shalom Church of God in Christ is a Christ-centered, Spirit-filled Pentecostal church located in Warren, Ohio. Our name, Shalom, means peace, wholeness, safety, and restoration, and that is exactly what we are called to bring to people, families, and our city.
We are a church grounded in biblical truth, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and committed to discipleship, evangelism, and community transformation. Shalom is not built on trends or entertainment, we are built on sound doctrine, holiness, order, and purpose.

Leadership & Covering Shalom Church of God in Christ is led with prayer, accountability, and spiritual order. Our leadership is committed to: Biblical governance Integrity and transparency Spiritual maturity and discipline Serving, not ruling We believe leadership is a calling and a responsibility, and we lead by example.

Shalom is a church for those who are serious about: Growing in Christ, Living holy, Serving faithfully, Being discipled and discipling others. We welcome seekers, new believers, and seasoned saints alike, but we are clear in our purpose and expectations. Hope begins with refuge. Peace leads to purpose. This is Shalom.

Our mission is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, teach sound biblical doctrine, and equip believers to live holy, victorious, and purpose-driven lives through the power of the Holy Spirit.
We are committed to: Salvation through Jesus Christ, The baptism of the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in tongues. Spiritual growth through prayer, fasting, worship, and the Word. Training and equipping believers for ministry and outreach
Strengthening families, men, women, and youth through Kingdom principles
To be a City of Peace, a place where lives are restored, disciples are formed, families are strengthened, and the Kingdom of God is advanced through truth, power, and love.
We envision a church that:

Trains believers to serve effectively in ministry and in the marketplace
Acts as a refuge for those in crisis and transition
